OUR EXPERIENCE AT YOUR DISPOSAL
Phage Consultants helps companies fight and prevent bacteriophage infection.

Phage Consultants offers a wide portfolio of contract research services – whatever your phage-related needs, we offer a service to address that!
We have full-capacity, state-of-the-art laboratories and expert scientist staff at our disposal, with facilities suitable to grow virtually any culturable bacteria (including strict anaerobes). Most of our work is performed with Escherichia coli, the most commonly used host in various types of biopharmaceutical and industrial microbiology fermentations, but we do frequently work with other Gram-negative and Gram-positive species, including:
- Bacillus species,
- Salmonella,
- lactic acid bacteria,
- human and animal pathogen strains (including BSL2),
- strict anaerobes,
- psychrophilic animal pathogens,
- thermophiles,
- Actinomycetales.
The services we offer include all aspects of development of phage-based technologies, for example: phage discovery, production and purification, proof-of-concept research, and (in case of phage therapeutics) animal model testing. And If you would want to run a phage-related research yourself, we can help you design proper research streamline or provide project leadership. Everything at competitive prices and within a reasonable timeline!
There is a world of opportunities offered by bacteriophages, starting at bacterial processes control and ending at human phage therapy. Discovery of new phages drives the development of new technologies – make sure you are ahead of the game by entrusting us with phage discovery.
We offer phage discovery in virtually all culturable bacterial strains, with regular reports keeping you up to date on our progress. If phages are there – we will find them!
One solution to the phage contamination problem is development of a bacterial strain immune to a bacteriophage. While not always feasible, it is a long-term solution greatly increasing fermentation productivity, especially when relying on single strain-based production.
You might need to modify the bacterial strain used in production – Phage Consultants will do it for you as part of our contract research services! Whether you need to add a selection marker or cure the strain of a prophage, Phage Consultants has the necessary tools to adapt your strain.
One of our routine activities is development of novel rapid phage detection methods, suitable for process monitoring and adaptable to various production scenarios. We offer such method development as a contract research service – talk to us about your phage detection needs!
